The Denver Film Festival’s Culinary Cinema series combines movies and a meal – and Art Director Matt Campbell sees Come Back Anytime as the perfect introduction to the program.

“It’s a Japanese film about a ramen master whose restaurant is a tiny, hidden stand with a hole in the wall in Tokyo. But he makes his ramen in a certain way that not many other ramen chefs use, and it has created a really nice community of people who can’t get enough of his food. They have become friends and they get together after work for a drink and ramen. It’s just a wonderful, happy movie that will make you really want to have some excellent ramen. “

Knowing this, the festival has secured the services of Chef Jeff Osaka, who prepares ramen-centered offerings that are included in the ticket price. “Our culinary cinema offers are very popular every year,” says Campbell. “It’s always great fun to have dinner and see a show together.”
