Denver Meals Truck Hub has a philanthropic objective

This week marks the debut of the Colorado Boulevard Food Truck Hub in Denver, Colorado.

The weekly event at Park Hill Golf Course takes place every Thursday and has a philanthropic strategy. The event will advertise stopping youth violence with guns, with 10% of sales donated to the Mending Roots Forest Project, according to a report by DenverChannel.com.

The promoter, Mile High Festivals, also plans to partner with community partners to give out meal vouchers to low-income families.

“We want to meet the immediate needs of this community with a lack of food. We are also getting some income from the efforts we are making here to support our Mending Roots Forest program, an effort to fight youth gun violence, “Mile High Festival president Norman Harris told the news agency.

The event lasts from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
