There will be a new farmers market in Denver next month, where you can stock up on fresh cut flowers and locally grown produce.
City Park Farmers Market opens May 15 with more than 60 regional vendors located on the Esplanade of Denver East High School at 2551 E. Colfax Ave. Grazing from lots of Longmont to CBD-based skincare and honey from Björn’s Colorado Honey of Boulder.
Peter Wanberg, founder of Jubilee Roasting Co., and Margo Wanberg, co-founder of 3 Sisters Honey, are the owners of City Park Farmers Market.
“We work with people who are passionate about growing food, using local and organic ingredients or who are somehow involved in the local farming scene,” said Peter Wanberg in a press release. “We’re excited to welcome some of our favorite long-time producers to Colorado alongside startups that were just launched last year.”
In addition to food and flowers, visitors can enjoy live music from local artists each week and a donation-based yoga class from Denver’s Big Power Yoga. The Wanbergs hope the new farmers market will allow people to get to know their favorite food producers and get more visibility from startups that debuted during the pandemic.
“Creating a complete and memorable experience for our guests is also a supportive element in promoting our suppliers,” said Margo Wanberg in the press release.
The farmers’ market is open on Saturdays from May 15 to October 30 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
