Denver Police are investigating 5 shootings in three hours, beginning simply earlier than midnight on July 4th – CBS Denver

DENVER (CBS4) – At 11:22 p.m. on July 4, Denver police were called to a shooting. Over the next three hours they replied to four more.

The first was reported at 11:22 p.m. in the 3300 block on West Saratoga Avenue, near West Belleview Avenue and South Lowell Boulevard. One woman was taken to hospital, but the extent of her injuries is unknown.

Less than five minutes later, DPD said, officers were investigating a shootout in the Crystal Way and Carson Boulevard areas. A woman was injured and was hospitalized but is said to survive.

At 12:07 p.m., police said that two people were injured in a shooting on Milwaukee Street, off East 50th Avenue, a few blocks west of Swansea Park. One man was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and a teenage man was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Just before 12:30 p.m., police said they were investigating a shooting in the 5600 block of Dayton Street near East Orchard Road. One woman was injured, but police said her injuries were not life threatening.

At 1:50 a.m., officials responded to a shooting on the 600 block of Wolff Street, near West 6th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. A man was taken to the hospital but is said to survive.
