Elitch Gardens is opening to season move holders and is making ready to open to most people in every week – CBS Denver
DENVER (CBS4) – Elitch Gardens opened to guests for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began on Saturday. Season ticket holders were allowed to go through the turnstiles and make their favorite trips. Inside, they found many notable changes in the amusement park.
“We have social distancing and queues on rides, and in most places you will see 6-foot markings on the rails rather than the ground,” said Jolie Dubois, marketing communications manager for the park.
The rides are sprayed and wiped after each cycle. Masks are mandatory and a maximum of 3,200 guests are allowed in the park at one time.
“It feels good. We’ve been in the house for so long. The weather feels great. There’s a nice day for it and it’s just a lot of fun,” said Dominic Sanchez.
The capacity is currently around 18% of normal.
“We have a technology system on the front that scans tickets and season passes to keep track of how many people are here. And we have a scanner on the way out that tracks guests as they get off. So we always have a number in the park and how many people are here all day, ”said Dubois.
The hope is that the capacity limit will be relaxed further in the coming months so that more people can enjoy a day of fun in the park.
“I hope that this kind of smile will bring a smile back to people’s faces. And the excitement of summer, ”said Dubois.
The grand opening of the Eliches Gardens will take place next Saturday for the general public. You have until May 23rd to reserve your ticket. They also hire for jobs. You must be 16 years or older and jobs start at $ 14.77 an hour. You need over 1,000 people to work at Elitch Gardens.
