Junction Meals and Drink opens at Colorado Middle in Denver

DENVER, CO – A new Denver Food Hall opened at the Colorado Center in the University Hill neighborhood on Wednesday.

The Junction Food & Drink on S. Colorado Blvd. 2000 includes 10 food stalls, an indoor and outdoor bar, 4,000-square-foot deck, and Denver’s special Coffee and Tea.

The 12,220 square meter food hall offers the following stores:

  • Big Wave Taco Shop – Denver-based TAG Restaurant Group, founded by Executive Chef Troy Guard, brings nachos, quesadillas, tacos and more to Junction.
  • Bird on a Wire Southern Chick’n – The Garner Brothers bring southern favorites like Nashville’s Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Tenders and Southern Smoked Wings with side dishes like Mac & Cheese, fried cucumber, waffle fries and coleslaw.
  • Ebisu Ramen and Sushi – Chef Soon Choi, head chef at Sushi Den, presents sushi rolls, sushi bowls, ramen and a selection of small plates.
  • Grind and Grill Burger – Restaurateurs Dave Garner and his sons serve fresh, made-to-order burgers – with unique twists – hand-cut fries and shakes at their family-run stand.
  • Lazo Empanadas – François Sabers Lazo Empanadas are traditional Argentinean farm-fresh bags full of perfection, created to “bring out the empanada fanatic in everyone!”
  • Mr. Miners Meat and Cheese – Chase and Melissa Devitt’s booth offer salads, sandwiches and a variety of shareables as well as sausages and fine cheeses.
  • Paciugo Gelato – Rob Prange still makes his gelati and sorbetti the traditional Italian way, with fresh fruit and natural ingredients. The result is a light, smooth frozen dessert with 70 percent less fat than ice cream.
  • Pete’s-A-Pie from Denver – Long-time DC pizza operator Joel Mehr, Denverites will be showcasing its New Haven-style cook-powered pizza – it’s all at your convenience.
  • Shawarma Shack – The guests have a seat in the front row of the unique food theater, in which the slow-cooked meat from Chef Yaser Khalaf is roasted on a spit in the window. “Certainly an instant favorite among vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free guests,” said Junction.
  • Smok Barbeque – Bill Espiricueta and the Smok team focus on classic grilling from around the country with special notes from Kansas City and Austin, Texas. The home-smoked meat, shared plates, creative side dishes, and sauces are “nuanced and straightforward in taste, color, and texture,” said Junction.
