The rush of restaurant openings following the pandemic continues this week with thirteen new places on the list. The restaurant comeback has even made it to the evergreen, where restaurateur Jared Leonard recently opened Campfire; Almost all of the food (mostly pizza at the moment, but the range should be expanded soon) is prepared in the outdoor kitchen, which creates a campfire smell.
Troy Guard expanded their empire with a third location of their own bowl concept, Bubu, in the lobby of the Granite Tower downtown. The Donut Club added a fourth location in Central Park; over in Cherry Creek, the Urban Egg brunch spot has added its eighth location. And McGregor Square is continuing its LoDo acquisition with the sports paradise Tom’s Watch Bar and a second Carmine’s.
In Aurora, soup dumpling darling Uncle Zoe seems to have become Dating Yummy, as only one Yelp page and entries in several delivery apps show. A phone call confirmed the name change, but it is unclear whether the spot is also in new ownership. Unfortunately, the “Chinese-Style Pies” and other former MIA favorites are on the new menu.
In Colfax, the Route 40 Cafe opened on November 11th.
