After maintaining a high pace for much of June, restaurant openings slowed down over the past week. Three of the eight most recent openings are coffee-focused spots, with Kardia Coffee making its downtown debut; Mango Tree Coffee, an altruistic coffee shop opening in Englewood; and Tí: Cafê Ta brings Vietnamese coffee drinks and food to Broadway. Also new on Broadway, just across Louisiana Avenue from Maria Empanada, is Tikka & Grill, which specializes in Nepalese and Indian cuisine.
Two very different grill places opened their doors last week: Lot Que is a traditional grill place owned by Lot One in Arvada, while JackBeQue is a vegan place near the Tech Center.
Travelers at DIA now have another dining option with local roots: a Snooze outpost opened there on June 28th. Meanwhile, McGregor Square, the development next to Coors Field, presented its food hall Milepost Zero on July 1st.This includes Little Chingones from Troy Guard as well as the Chicago brands Giordano’s with its deep-dish pizza and Buona, which offers Italian beef sandwiches, among other things. It is expected that other companies will soon join Milepost Zero.
And although there are no permanent closings on the list this week, LeRoux from restaurateur Lon Symensma announced the temporary closure on July 1st via an Instagram post: “We’re in the process of improving our guest experience before we reopen late summer / Early autumn. ”
McGregor Square continues to grow with the opening of Milepost Zero.
