Denver F. Kelly
March 3, 1927 – October 27, 2019
Denver F. Kelly, 92 years old, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019, in the bay of the Sheridan Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on March 3, 1927 in Liverpool, West Virginia, to the late Eupha and Flavy Kelly.
He served our country honorably in the US Army and as the Merchant Navy.
He was married to Carol Chroninger on June 10, 1991 in Reno, Nevada. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Denver was an electrician with Union Journeyman for 34 years; employed from Union Hall. He was a dedicated member of IBEW Local Union 150 – International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, AFL-CIO, in Libertyville, IL.
A member of the First Christian Church in Kenosha; Denver always helped friends and family with its electrical skills. He cheered the Green Bay Packers and loved fishing. He traveled to many places including Puerto Rico, Mexico, and across the United States, and returned to West Virginia many times.
He is survived by his wife Carol; his children Dana (Connie) Kelly, Diane Kelly, Mike Kelly, Pam Hanson, and Becky (John) Whitefoot; Stepchildren, Keith (Kay) McClurg, Janet (David) Epping, and Teresa (Jesse) Macareno; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lulabelle (Kenneth) Morris and many loving nieces and nephews.
Next to his parents; Before him, his two brothers had died.
The Denver funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piasecki Funeral Home. Full military honors will follow the service. A tour of Denver will be held on Thursday, October 31, from noon until the service at the funeral home. Instead of flowers, family memories would be welcome.
