Lovelands Sweetheart Festival

Celebrate Valentine’s Day in America’s “Most Beautiful” City. Lovelands every year Sweetheart Festival: love, locks and lights is a way to celebrate the season with free fun for all ages. Purchase a customizable lock to secure it to the Love Lock sculpture, one of the largest in the United States. Stroll through the Tunnel of Love, a series of a dozen light-adorned eight-foot-high arches. The affair includes interactive art installations, live entertainment, a Family Fun Zone, a stroll through the art gallery, and much more. Share love on February 14th from 5pm to 9pm and on February 15th from 2pm to 9pm

Another reason to love Loveland: Your postmark is here Valentine’s day Cards and love letters. The Sweetheart City has officially launched its 74th annual re-mailing program. Send your prepaid cards in a larger envelope to: Postmaster: Attention, Valentines. 446 E. 29th St., Loveland, CO 80538-9998. All cards and letters, as well as the larger outer envelope, must be properly franked. The deadline for US destinations is February 7th. For Colorado recipients, February 10 and the international deadline is February 1. Every year the program sends out thousands of Valentines from around the world, including all 50 states and 110 countries.

Alamo season pass

The latest addition to the subscription service trend comes from Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. The chain just announced that their Alamo Season Pass is now available for the greater Denver area. For $ 19.99 per month, members can watch one movie every day at the regular price. (Custom formats require an additional fee of $ 1.99 per ticket. Standard online service charges also apply.) Seats can be reserved up to seven days in advance. You can also purchase a multi-seat Alamo Season Pass for an additional $ 18.99 per additional seat (up to four per account). The pass is only available in the Alamo app, so you must have a smartphone or mobile device to participate. The pass does not include the chain’s special events, including movie parties, film festivals, or other shows with premium tickets. There are three locations in Colorado: Denver, Littleton, and Westminster.

Aurora’s new Best Buy Outlet

It doesn’t often happen that you find huge savings on equipment, computers, and electronics. Luckily for us, the Denver subway area just got hooked up in one of the best places to get big discounts. A new Best buy outlet just opened in 1600 S. Abilene St. in Aurora. With just 13 locations nationwide, the stores offer savings of up to 50% on electronics, televisions, appliances, computers, accessories, and more. Outlets only sell open box and clearance items. Inventory changes frequently, so regular visits can be helpful in identifying the best deals. Plus, all purchases are covered by the chain’s return and exchange policy, as well as any warranty. The outlet is only open three days a week, Friday to Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Harkins theater discounts

For non-soccer fans who don’t see the big game on Sunday, it’s time to shop, run errands or go to the movies. Harkins Theater is getting ready for the big game with a special offer for movie fans. On February 2, the chain is offering its loyal members tickets for just $ 5 each. (Membership to My Harkins Awards is free. Register at the box office.) For non-members, tickets are $ 8. The range includes films in all formats, including new releases, 3D, Cine 1 and Cine Capri films. The only exception is special programming on this day. The Oscars at the You FilmCenter

If you want to see the 92nd Oscars in a big way, visit this You FilmCenter (2510 E. Colfax Ave.) in Denver on February 9th for a fun evening with fellow movie fans. And it’s free. Doors open at 4 p.m. the award ceremony begins at 6 a.m. With movie cocktails, food trucks, and multiple screens, it’s the perfect setting for any cinephile. Movie fans can predict the winners in the main categories to win prizes. Tickets are $ 10. True movie fans can get an early start at Denver Film 2020 Oscar prediction panel on February 4th at 7 p.m. The entrance fee of 10 USD includes a voting slip for participation in the big night. Denver Post reporter and critic John Wenzel, Denver Film Society festival director Britta Erickson, and Dr. Andrew Scahill, Assistant Professor in the Department of English at CU Denver, will share their insights and knowledge to predict who will be on the podium to thank their agents and attorneys.

Get married for free in Denver

If you are in the wedding mood but don’t want to spend a lot of money on a ceremony, at 13. Valentine’s Day celebration. On February 14th, judges and clergymen will be present from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for free wedding ceremonies. Food and drinks will be provided. Also, local businesses donated gifts for giveaways throughout the day. Note: You will need a valid marriage certificate, which costs $ 30. Interested couples are advised to apply online in advance to save time. The wedding will take place in the Webb Building (201 W. Colfax Ave., Dept. 101) in Denver.

Black history live

As part of the Colorado Humanities’ Black History Live Tour For 2020, experience a portrayal of civil rights icon Rosa Parks by actress and scientist Becky Stone. The program will provide an insight into the central act of resistance by Parks. The performances will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Stone in the role of Parks and then with Stone himself. 12 performances are planned across the subway area from February 24th to March 3rd.
