Snow circumstances on I-70 are inflicting issues in Colorado Excessive Nation – CBS Denver

SILVERTHORNE, Colorado (CBS4) – Snow conditions in Colorado’s highlands caused problems for a short time on Interstate 70 in the mountains on Sunday morning.

At 9:15 a.m., cars were stopped on the interstate near the Eisenhower-Johnson tunnels. The Colorado Department of Transportation reported a crash near the Silverthorne exit.

Meteorologist Chris Spears said there had been a brief period of heavy snowfall in the area, but the widespread snowfall in the highlands was largely over by that time.

At 10.30 a.m. the motorway was open again.
