Understaffed Denver points of interest put together for the stream of tourists in the course of the All-Star Weekend – CBS Denver
DENVER (CBS4) – Many restaurants and attractions in downtown Denver are understaffed, but they try their best not to let customers feel the impact. Locals have been filling popular spots since the state reopened, now thousands from outside the city add to the crowds.
“It’s so awesome! All-Star Game only eight hours away? Works for me!” said Lamont Villa, a Yankees fan from Kansas.
Villa spent Wednesday afternoon with his two children in downtown Denver. The Villa family arrived days before the All-Star Game and made the event a vacation.

“Right now we’re going to the end of 16th Street. The plan is to just see the sights and enjoy this weekend and just give it wings! ”Said Villa. “We have tickets for all the festivities, the games.”
The villas say the Denver food scene was their favorite part of the vacation, but the labor shortage hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“I have noticed staffing problems in some of the restaurants we have visited. We had to wait a little longer, but the food was excellent, ”said Villa.

As visitors flock to the city, understaffed attractions work harder to keep the wheels moving. Minutes from Coors Field, the already bustling Elitch Gardens all go hands on deck with the few hands they have.
“We’re doing everything we can to open as many attractions as possible at the same time,” said Jolie DuBois, Marketing Marking at Elitch Gardens.
“We have already changed our schedules to best fit the hours available in order to provide the best possible guest experience,” said DuBois.
Elitch Gardens is still hiring a wide variety of positions.
