Weld County twister was most likely probably the most photographed twister in Colorado historical past

DENVER (CBS4) – The photogenic tornado that struck Weld County on Monday night could be seen for miles in virtually all directions. That made a great view for many thousands of people.

CBS4 viewer Tanner Stolz took this photo of the tornado at County Roads 49 & 36.

The storm that produced the tornado between Firestone and Platteville just after 5 p.m. on Monday slowly moved north so that the tornado was visible for at least 30 minutes. During that time, the tornado traveled at least 5 miles, which is a relatively long distance for a Colorado tornado.
