We are back.

After a one-year hiatus in 2020, the Westword Music Showcase, which has grown to be the city’s largest one-day music festival since it began nearly thirty years ago, will return this September with more music – including more than fifty of Denver’s best acts – as well as one Killer main stage lineup, an additional festival night and a new location.

In short, the 2021 Showcase promises to be bigger and better than ever, a huge two-day festival that will take over the RiNo Art District and the Mission Ballroom area. As one of the top venues in the country, the Mission opened with awards in 2019 and is making a strong comeback after the pandemic.

On Friday, September 17th, the showcase will feature dozen of local acts at venues across the RiNo Art District. As you go to various bars and clubs to listen to bands, the streets get filled with live painting, interactive art, food and drink vendors, and more. Whatever your musical tastes, there is something for you to discover from punk, metal and rock to hip-hop, R&B, indie, jazz, alternative, country, folk, bluegrass and electronics. The lineup for Friday evening will be announced in the coming weeks.
